What is mission festival?
The mission festival is an engaging event designed to celebrate, support, and promote the outreach and mission efforts of the church community. This festival serves as an opportunity for the congregation to come together, reflect on our mission goals, and strengthen our commitment to serving Christ both locally and globally.
The mission festival is more than just an event; it is a celebration of Immanuel Lutheran Church's mission work, an opportunity for education and engagement, and a call to action for the entire congregation. Through worship, fellowship, and outreach activities, the mission festival energizes and mobilizes us to actively participate in and support mission efforts.
The Mission Festival weekend at Immanuel Lutheran Church will feature Rev. Dr. Eric M Riesen, President of the North American Lutheran Seminary, as the speaker for the Saturday evening and Sunday morning services and Nathan Montgomery, Executive Director of Salt and Light, for the Sunday evening service at 7:00 PM. Sunday morning will include the Sunday School kickoff with food and inflatables starting at 11:00am.
Prior to the luncheon, there will be a meet-and-greet with Dr. Riesen and a video presentation from the 150th Anniversary this past Spring.
Light snacks and refreshments will be served after the Sunday evening service by the Fellowship Committee.
